The 125-km Hubballi Chalo padayatra organized by North Karnataka sugarcane farmers is concluding in Hubballi after four days of foot-marching from Belagavi district. Farmers are demanding a revised Minimum Support Price (MSP) of ₹5,500 per tonne for sugarcane along with market interventions. Farmers’ leaders confirmed that after today’s demonstration in Hubballi, the agitation will pause and resume with a major protest rally scheduled in New Delhi on October 23.
